Roy Charles "Chuck" Hoch, Jr., 56, of Kutztown, died unexpectedly Monday, August 31, 2026, in his residence. He was the loving husband of Eileen (McClafferty) Hoch. They were married November 16, 2000. Born in West Reading, Chuck was a son of Roy C. Hoch, Sr., Kutztown, and Barbara (Geiger) Keck, Kempton. He was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown.
Chuck was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School, Class of 1987. He went on to further his education, first at Lehigh County Community College, Schnecksville, earning an Associates degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences; then Albright College, Reading., where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration; and then from Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH, a Master's degree in Information Systems Management - Healthcare.
Chuck was employed for nearly 25 years as a Senior Data Admin Expert for Lehigh Valley Health Network, Allentown.
He was a motorcycle enthusiast, could talk politics with anyone he met, enjoyed spending time with his kids and his friends. He enjoyed music and attending concerts. Chuck took pride in working on new projects and learning new trades. He would often be working on a project around the house or on his vehicles. He always was reliable for friends and family and took care of the people he loved.
In addition to his wife of nearly 26 years, Eileen, Chuck is survived by his father and step mother, Roy C., Sr., husband of Lynne (Haslem) Hoch, Kutztown; and his mother, Barbara (Geiger) widow of of Michael Keck, Kempton. He is survived by his daughter Robyn A. Hoch, companion of Matthew T. Bertsch, Hamburg; and his son, Ryan J. Hoch, companion of Kaylee Albrecht, Kutztown.
A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate Chuck's life will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Martin A. Milne, officiating. Interment in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
