Roy A Kline

Roy A. Kline, Sr., 78, of Kutztown, died Sunday, November 10, 2013 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Fern M. (Adam) Kline, whom he married September 29, 1962.

Born in Maxatawny Township, he was a son of the late William H., Sr., and Carrie E. (Dey) Kline. He was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown. Mr. Kline was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving during the Korean War. He worked in the maintenance department at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, Kutztown for over 27 years until his retirement in 1996. Roy was a member of Kutztown Fire Company. He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his grandsons.

In addition to his Wife, he is survived by Daughter, Roylene R. (Kline), wife of Anthony C. Jarrett, Mertztown; Son, Roy A. Jr., husband of Michele M. (Fick) Kline, Reading. Other survivors include Sisters, Catherine (Kline) Pieller, Robesonia, and Marion P. (Kline) Pieller, Kutztown; Brother, Dennis C. Kline, Kutztown. There are also 4 Grandchildren, Andrew C. and Aaron C. Jarrett and Cody A. and Tanner M. Kline. He was predeceased by Sisters, Lovie, Helen, Mae, Elsie, Anna and Nancy; and Brothers, Jonathon, William, Jr., George, Francis, Dallas and Robert.

Funeral Services are Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment, with military honors, will be in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Friday, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
