Ronald E. "Ron" Wiley

Ronald E. "Ron" Wiley, 87, of Mertztown, PA, formerly of Wescosville, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice, Allentown, PA. He was the loving husband of Barbara M. (Hayko) Wiley, whom he shared 60 years or marriage with.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Ronald was a son of the late William H. and Regina E. (Gallagher) Wiley and was a graduate of North Penn High School, Bucks County. An engineer by trade, Ron was employed by Moore Products Co., now Siemens, for 20 years until his retirement. Following his former retirement, Ron was employed by The Berks County Court System, Woodcraft and East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc.

After retiring both Ron and Barbara enjoyed fishing and competed in barbecue competitions.

Ron honorably and faithfully served his country in The United States Army from 1957 to 1960. He was a member of Trout Unlimited, Fleetwood Fish and Game Association, member of Mid Atlantic Barbecue Association and he was an avid and accomplished woodworker. As we remember Ron, let us carry forward the joy he brought into this world and embrace the lessons he taught us about love, kindness, and the importance of family. His spirit will forever be a part of our hearts, guiding us as we continue on our journeys.

Along with his wife Barbara, Ron is survived by his two sons, Matthew Gordon Wiley, and his wife, Jennifer (Uding) Wiley, Oreland, PA, and Todd Allen Wiley, Emmaus, PA; four grandchildren, Ava, Grace, Benjamin and Reina; and brother, William "Bill" Wiley of South Carolina. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, James "Jim" Wiley.

Services for Ronald will be held privately by his family.
