Mr. Ronald Lee Henry

March 18, 1942 — September 1, 2021

Ronald Lee "Ron" Henry, 79, of Topton, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township, PA. He was the loving husband of Mary Katherine "Kathy" (House) Henry, whom he married on March 17, 1967.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Ron was a son of the late Leon Hines and Josephine (Posluzny) Henry - Hilton, and was a graduate of Kenwood High School, Baltimore. Ron honorably and faithfully served in The United States Navy during The Cuban Missile Crisis onboard the USS James C. Owens. While living in Maryland is where Ron met Kathy, the love of his life. He was employed by the former Bethlehem Steel Company at their Maryland plant. He then worked for Western Electric and later AT&T and Lucent Technologies, Allentown until his retirement. Most recently, Ron was a school van driver for Brandywine Transportation, Inc., and was adored by the many students he transported for The Brandywine Heights School District over the past 20 years. Ron was a member of St. Mary's Parish, Kutztown.

In his younger years, Ron enjoyed hunting and going boating at Blue Marsh Lake. He also had a love for cars, especially his 1967 Buick convertible, which he took to many car shows over the years and won over 20 awards. Above all, Ron loved his family, who he enjoyed antagonizing with his humor and silly antics.

Ron will be sorely missed by his wife of 54 years, Kathy, three daughters, Annette M. (Henry), wife of Stephen Markle, Nazareth, Karen L. Henry, Marathon, FL, and Kelly A. Henry, Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Cody, Joshua, Chelsea, Elisha, Stevie and Matthew; and a great-grandson, David.

Along with his parents, Ron was predeceased by his aunt, Wanda Patro, who was like a "bonus mother" to Ron and his family; and a sister, Antionette Lingg.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown, PA with The Reverend John Maria, Celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. in the church.

Military Honors, provided by The United States Navy will conclude the services. Burial will be held privately.
