Ronald L Schittler

Ronald L. Schittler, 67, of Topton, died suddenly Thursday, January 16, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, shortly after admission. He was the husband of June F. (Smith) Schittler. They were married June 14, 1969 .

Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late Richard A. and Pearl M. (Moyer) Schittler. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton. Ronald was a graduate of Brandywine Heights High School. He was a US Army Veteran having served in Viet Nam. Mr. Schittler was employed over 40 years as a production laborer at East Penn Manufacturing Company, Lyon Station, until his retirement in 2012. Ronald was a member of the Topton Fish and Game Association .

He is survived by Wife; Daughters, Vicki L. (Schittler) wife of P. Doug Letterman, Fleetwood and Lisa A. (Schittler) wife of Mark J. Preletz, Bernville. Other survivors include a Sister, Barbara (Schittler) wife of Richard Reis, New Ringgold, Schuylkill County and a Brother, Richard Schittler, State College, Centre County. There are also 5 Grandchildren, Christian T., Kyle P., Connor M., Christine E. and Catherine R. Letterman.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton . Interment in Longswamp Union Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home .
