Robert S Rhode

Robert S. Rhode, 77, formerly of Crystal Cave Road, (Richmond Twp.) Kutztown, died Sunday, March 14, 2004, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, 1200 South Cedar Crest Boulevard, (Salisbury Twp.) near Allentown where he was admitted from The Lutheran Home at Topton (he had resided at The Lutheran Home since 01/03/2002). He was married to Goldie M. (Dotterer) Rhode, they were married 48 years last July.

Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, PA, he was a son of the late Mahlon S. and the late Alma A. (Shoemaker) Rhode. He was a Design Draftsman at A.T.&T. Reading for 33 years retiring in 1987. He was a 32 ^nd degree Mason F.&A.M. of Huguenot Lodge #377, Kutztown, PA; also a member of East Penn Valley HI-12 Club #663 (Masonic organization). He was also a co-founder, charter member, and past president (1968) of the Ontelaunee Region Antique Car Club, Berks County. He was also a co-founder and past treasurer of the Hawk Mountain Early Ford V-8 Club of America. He was also a past treasurer of the Buick Club of America. He is a Past President, Treasurer, and member of the former Topton Rotary Club. He was a US Army Veteran having served during WWII. He was Lutheran.

He is survived by Wife; Son, Daryl G. Rhode, (Weisenberg Twp., Lehigh County) Fogelsville, PA; Daughter, Denise M. (Rhode) Wojciechowski, (Maidencreek Twp.) Blandon, PA; 3 Grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at 8:00 PM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Private interment with military honors in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, (Greenwich Twp.) Kutztown. Friends may call Wednesday, 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Masonic Lodge services at 7:45 PM.
