Robert S. Keim “Bobby” “Pop-Pop”, 81, of Noble Street, Kutztown, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in the In Patient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Leona M. (Reppert) Keim, whom he married, May 20, 1950.

Born in Maxatawny Township, PA, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Stella H. (Schmoyer) Keim. He was a member of St. Paul’s UCC. Church, Kutztown. He was a truck driver for Geo. Y. Brubaker, Inc. for 26 years, retiring in 1990; prior to that he also drove truck for Harry Knittle for 14 years. Bobby mowed yards for numerous family, neighbors, and friends for many years. He was a member of the Kutztown Fire Company, Berks County Fireman’s Assocation, Kutztown Truck Crew for 35 years, where he was also the chief engineer for many years. He received the Outstanding Service Award in 1979. He was an honorary member of various local organizations each December by being their Santa Claus.

He is survived by Wife; Daughters, Rosaria L. (Reppert) wife of Ronald K. Angstadt, Fleetwood, PA, Denise L. Keim, Kutztown, PA; Sons, David L., husband of Geraldine M. (Wehr) Keim, Daryl, husband of Gail I. (Romig) Keim, and Todd A., husband of Julie A. (Herman) O’Neil all of Kutztown. Sisters, Dorothy L. (Keim) widow of Raymond Turner, and Rachel F., wife of Harrison Moyer; Grandchildren, Derek L., Daryn L.,Dustin L., Kirk M. Michele R. and Carly M. There are also 4 Great Grandchildren, Elle C., Lennon C., Kian A., and Layton T. Also surviving is his lawn mowing buddy Terry. He was pre-deceased by Brothers, Kenneth, Edwin, William and Dale Keim.

Funeral Services are Saturday, October 3, 2009, at 10:30 AM in St Paul’s UCC Church, 47 South Whiteoak Street, Kutztown, PA 19530. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Family and friends may call Friday evening, October 2, 2009 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, and Saturday from 9:30 AM to time of service in the church.

The family requests contributions be made to the Kutztown Fire Company Truck Crew, Noble Street, Kutztown, PA 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
