Robert G. Rauenzahn

Robert G. "Bobby" Rauenzahn, 91, of Topton, PA, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026 in Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehab., Allentown. He was the husband of Joanne D. (Kern) Rauenzahn, whom he married February 23, 1957.

Born in Topton, PA, Robert was the son of the late Edwin A. and Clara L. (Laird) Rauenzahn and was a 1952 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He was employed as a Storeroom Clerk at Kutztown University from 1982 until his retirement in 1997. Prior to that, Bobby was employed as a tire builder at the former Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., Pottstown, from 1965 to 1980.

Robert honorably and faithfully served his country in The United States Army during the Korean War. A proud veteran, Bobby was a dedicated member of the Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion Honor Guard, Topton, PA, since 1998. He served as a president of AFSCME Local #2234, Kutztown University for 12 years and was also the leader of the Topton Webelos Troop #510 in the 1960's. Bobby was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton.

Along with his wife of 69 years, Joanne, Robert is survived by his daughter, Lori A. Rauenzahn, of Topton, and son, Jeffrey R. Rauenzahn, of Reading, widower of Rayanne (Denton) Rauenzahn, who passed away July 20, 2019; brother, Patrick R. Rauenzahn, of Topton; two grandchildren, Alexandria M. Garcia and Fallon L. Burke; and five great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents and daughter-in-law, Robert was predeceased by his siblings, Edwin Rauenzahn, Jr.; Raymond Rauenzahn; Marjorie (Rauenzahn) Geiger; Wayne Rauenzahn; June (Rauenzahn) Boyer; and Forrest Rauenzahn.

A memorial service to celebrate Bobby's life will be held in the near future. Burial with military honors will follow in Topton Union Cemetery.
