Robert P Lair

Robert P. Lair, 79, of Miller Drive, Kutztown, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, where he had been a patient since July 6 ^th . He was the husband of Pieta J. (Kalff) Lair. They were married on June 20, 1956.

Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late George A. and Agnes T. (Crummy) Lair. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ with a BS in Accounting. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He was a self employed retail export businessman for over 30 years in New York City, NY retiring in 1987; prior to that he was golf professional from 1952 to 1956 in Matamoras, NJ.

He is survived by Wife, Daughter, Tamra J. wife of Bruce Edgren, Farmington, CT; Son, Robert J. husband of Adrie S. Kusserow, Underhill, VT; Sister, Jayne BecVar, Louisville, KY; Brothers, George Lair, Mountainside, NJ, Father Gerald Lair, Morristown, NJ; Grandchildren Kira, Kyle and Hanna Edgren and Ana and Willem Kusserow-Lair.

Celebration of Life is Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 4:00 PM in Moselem Springs Golf Club, 684 Eagle Road, Fleetwood, PA. Private interment in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington, CT. Friends may call Wednesday, July 12, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 South 12 ^th Street, Allentown, PA 18103. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
