Robert George Leibold

Robert George Leibold, 95, of Mertztown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 in his residence. He was the husband of Gladys J. (Riegel) Leibold, whom he married on March 20, 1954, in Neff's Union Church, Neffs, PA.

Born in Schnecksville, PA, Robert was a son of the late George P. and Hattie A. (Snyder) Leibold. Robert was employed by Mack Trucks as an inspector for many years. He also was a lifelong farmer, truck driver and had his own lawn mowing business.

Robert enjoyed woodworking, restoring old Fords and camping.

Along with his wife of 72 years, Gladys; Robert is survived by his three children, Donna (Leibold) Haas, and her partner Shawn, Mark Leibold, and his wife Kelly, and Kelley (Leibold) Bohlen, and her husband Bart; son-in-law, Carl Haas; grandchildren, Andrea Haas, Alisha Haas, Briell Haas and Ava Leibold; great-grandchildren, Angelic Carman-Haas and Kyla Carman; and his sister, Barbara (Leibold) Richards, and her husband Daniel. Robert was predeceased by his parents, and his sister, Jean (Leibold) Hertzog, and her husband Ernest.

A memorial service to celebrate and honor Robert's life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately in Friedens Church Cemetery of Stony Run.
