Robert K Heffner

Robert K. “Bobby” Heffner, 81, of Shelbyville, Indiana, formerly of Lyons, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Pope) Heffner.

Born in Kutztown he was a son of the late Samuel R. and Ellen E. (Kline) Heffner. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was the owner and operator of Marathon Service Station, Shelbyville, IN., for over 40 years. Bobby was an avid gardener.

He is survived by Sons, Robert J. Heffner, Bloomington, IN., and David Heffner, Greenwood, IN; Sisters, Rebecca K. Heffner, Kutztown, Mary K. Adam, Kutztown, Nettie K. Herman, Kutztown; Brother, Harold K. Heffner, Leesport. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and several Great-Grandchildren. Bobby was predeceased by Sisters, Anna M. Reppert and Cora M. Fitzgerald, and Brothers, Howard S. Heffner and Jerry K. Heffner.

Services are private, at the convenience of the family. Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, Shelbyville, IN., is in charge of arrangements.
