Mr. Robert J. "Bob" Freudig

Robert J. "Bob" Freudig, 66, of Mertztown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2022 in St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Christine A. (Solt) Freudig, whom he married on November 5, 1983.

Born in East Stroudsburg, PA, Robert was a son of the late Robert A. and Grace (Marino) Freudig and was a graduate of Pius X High School in Bangor. For the past 29 years, Bob was employed by East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., working at their Topton facility, and was looking forward to his retirement in January. Bob enjoyed brewing and crafting his own beer, patronizing the many local breweries, cooking and skiing. Above all, he loved his family and was the best Paps around!

Along with his wife of almost 39 years, Christine, Bob is survived by his two daughters, Kayla L. Freudig, Macungie, and Jenna L. (Freudig), wife of David F. Synnamon, Breinigsville; two grandchildren, Sylvia G. and Henry D. Synnamon; and two sisters, Veronica (Freudig), wife of Mark Pinto, Bangor, and Donna (Freudig) Flynn, Florida.

A memorial service to celebrate and honor Bob's life will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Longswamp United Church of Christ, 200 Clay Road, Mertztown, PA with The Reverend Kimberly Berenotto officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation to greet the family from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the church.
