Robert Joseph Tay passed away in his sleep on Saturday, March 19, 2022 with his beloved daughter Lisa and son Jeff, by his side.

Bob was born in Passaic, NJ on June 4, 1947 to Julia and John Tay, the youngest of four children. Bob graduated from Wallington High School and enlisted in the US Army in July 1966 and worked in radio communications for two years in Vietnam with an honorable discharge in 1969. He then worked for many years as a machinist at Biwal Manufacturing before opening his own business, Video Box Office, with his brother, John, in 1989.

Bob married Helene (Visser) on December 27, 1989; she predeceased him on November 24, 2021. He was also predeceased by his parents, his three siblings (Mary, John and Thomas), one nephew (Kevin) and one niece (Theresa). Bob is survived by his stepdaughters Lisa and Amanda, stepsons, Jeff and James, 13 step grandchildren, sister-in-law, Ann, brother-in-law, Andrew, four nieces (Jennifer, Jean, Kathy, Susan) and three nephews (David, John and Charles).

Bob had an easy smile and loved his family, he always embraced new technology and was a continual learner. His computer skills were so strong that he had his own server room in his home. Bob and Helene were animal lovers and gave compassionate and wonderful homes to their pets, especially Sheena and Cheech. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and especially his family.

Military honors for Bob will be rendered on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 10:30 a.m., at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA, where he will be reunited with his wife Helene. All attendees shall meet at the cemetery, behind the main office building by 10:15 a.m. Sharing of memories will conclude the services.
