Robert J Brintzenhoff

Robert J. “Bobby” Brintzenhoff, 87, of Topton, died Friday, January 15, 2016 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. He was the husband of Bonnie L. (Acker) Brintzenhoff, whom he married on April 12, 2000.

Born in Lyon Station, he was a son of the late Warren J. and Ella I. (Fegely) Brintzenhoff. Bobby was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown, and a 1946 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He was employed as a Mail Clerk at Atlas Minerals & Chemicals, Inc., Mertztown for 43 years, retiring in 1991. Bobby enjoyed word search puzzles and going out to eat.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Bonnie; Son, Tracy Lee Bortz, husband of Scott Keefer, Temple; Brothers, Donald L., husband of Sandra Brintzenhoff, Lyon Station, Keith A., husband of Karlene Brintzenhoff, Kutztown, and David A., husband of Lynette Brintzenhoff, Harrington, DE.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 10:30 AM in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown, with Reverend Jeremiah A. Sassaman officiating. Interment will follow in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Relatives and friends may call on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.

The family requests contributions be made in Bobby's memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 117, Mertztown, PA  19539-0117. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
