Robert H Schipmann

Robert H. Schipmann, 83, of Kempton, formerly of New Brunswick, N.J., died Saturday, March 19, 2011 in his residence. He was the husband of the late Barbara M. (Newlin) Schipmann who died May 2, 2001.

Born in New Brunswick, N.J., he was a son of the late John and Edith (Bowers) Siegert. He was a 1945 graduate of New Brunswick High School, N.J. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He was employed as a Scientific Glass Blower by F. M. C. Corporation, Princeton, N.J., for 30 years, retiring in 1986. Prior to that, he was employed by Squibb & Son, New Brunswick, N.J. Robert was an avid hunter, fly fisherman, woodworker, reader, and traveler, traveling to most of the U.S. and Europe.

He is survived by Daughter, Barbara S. (Schipmann) wife of Richard N. Kurr, Reading; Sons, James E. husband of Janet L. (Watkins) Schipmann, Sandwich, N.H., Thomas R. Schipmann, Upper Black Eddy, Bucks Co.; Sister, Doris (Siegert) wife of Charles Clinton, North Brunswick, N.J. He is also survived by Grandsons, Brian J. Schipmann, Ryan R. Tuskey, Eric J. Schipmann, Jason R. Kurr, Scott Schipmann, and 2 Great Grandchildren, Kaylee and Logan Schipmann. He was pre deceased by a Brother, John Siegert in 1981.

Funeral Services are Thursday, March 24, 2011, at 2:00 PM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in New Bethel Cemetery, Kempton. Friends may call Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
