Robert T. Fox, 80, of Allentown, formerly of Manorville, Long Island, New York, died peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Parkland Manor Assisted Living, Allentown. He was the widower of Karen A. (Heinz) Fox, who died June 5, 2025. Born in Jamaica, Queens, New York City, Robert was a son of the late Theodore O., and Virginia M. (Myers) Fox. Robert honorably and faithfully served our country as a veteran of the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War, where he specialized in cryogenics.
Robert was a graduate of Plainedge High School, Massapequa, New York, Class of 1963. He also attended a vocational technical school during his high school days, studying Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Repair.
Robert's studies led to a life-long career with Sears Roebuck & Co., as a Senior Technician and Technical Supervisor. Inventive and resourceful, Bob was blessed with the ability to fix or build anything. Including making his own power tools.
Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and "big brother". Bob was an extremely hard working, committed and honorable man who put his family first. He was a protective, solid, stoic presence that was depended upon by many. Bob was adored by his family, and known for wisdom, quick wit, and humor. He was also an expertly skilled craftsman and woodworker. He had many hobbies that included gardening, painting, coin and stamp collecting, photography; but he was most passionate about camping, the outdoors and his family.
Robert is survived by his three daughters: Karenann (Fox), wife of Michael P. Knotoff, Kutztown, Pennsylvania; Theresa M. (Fox), wife of Shawn P. Wilkins, Kutztown, Pennsylvania; and Virginia A. (Fox), wife of S. Wes Fey, Jamesport, New York. Other survivors include his sister, Barbara G. (Fox) LeCann, Amsterdam, New York; half-sister Carol (Fox) wife of William Fehrenbach, Dayton, Texas; and brother, Lawrence and his wife Christine Fox, Lanham, Maryland. There are five grandchildren: John R. Knotoff; Matthew R., husband of Alejandra (Quintal) McCarthy; Jake J. McCarthy; Victoria E. Knotoff; and AnnaRose McCarthy.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Robert's life will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Ben Triestman, officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by Ray A. Master Post 217 American Legion Honor Guard, Topton. Relatives and friends are invited to viewings on Wednesday from Noon to 2:00 p.m. and again from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
