Robert E Miller

Robert E. Miller, 81, of Topton, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in Mosser Nursing Home, Breinigsville, where he was a resident since September 2011. He was the husband of the late Essie E. (Blackburn) Miller, who died May 22, 2011.

Born in Lonswamp Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Salli (Miller) Miller. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Robert, along with his wife, owned and operated Bob’s and Evelyn’s Variety at Renninger’s Market, Kutztown for 20 years. He also worked as a metal finisher for the Caloric Corporation for 16 years, retiring in 1991.

He is survived by Son, David L. Miller, Fleetwood, 2 Grandsons, Timothy L. Miller and Jeffrey A. Miller, 3 Great Grandchildren, Brandon Miller, Samantha Miller, and Ciara C. Miller. He was pre-deceased by Sons, Ralph E. Miller and Ronald L. Miller.

Funeral Services are Monday, April 2, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Maxatawny. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
