Mr. Robert E. Dietrich

Robert E. "Bobby" Dietrich, 70, of Greenwich Township, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Ruth Ann (Christman) Dietrich, whom he married on April 28, 1973.

Born in Allentown, Robert was a son of the late James E. and Mildred A. (Stump) Dietrich and was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School, class of 1969. Bobby worked as a mechanic at East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyons, for over 10 years until his retirement. He also worked in the same capacity at Berks Products for many years. Most recently, Bob worked part-time for Kutztown Auto Company, Fleetwood.

Bobby was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Krumsville. He loved hunting, listening to country and oldies music, driving around on his golf cart and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Above all, Bob enjoyed helping people, especially working on the farm.

Along with his wife Ruth, Robert is survived by his two sons, Ryan R., husband of Gwen A. (Lunow) Dietrich, Alburtis, and Rory R., husband of Lindsey R. (Robertson) Dietrich, Lenhartsville; three grandchildren, Makenna L., Everly A., and Gavin J. Dietrich; father-in-law, Ernest W., widow of Irene R. (Adams) Christman, Kutztown; brother, David D., husband of Jill (Keller) Dietrich, Lenhartsville; sister-in-law, Darlene (Heim) Dietrich, widow of predeceased brother, Donald J. Dietrich, who died December 8, 2013; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate and honor Bobby's life will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Vicar Jeremiah T. Heydt officiating.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Krumsville.
