Robert F. DeVall Sr.

Robert F. DeVall, Sr., of Kutztown, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026, in his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Catherine A. (Brady) DeVall, whom he married on October 26, 1963.

Born in New Rochelle, NY, Robert was the only child of Frank and Eleanor (Striebeck) DeVall. He was a graduate of White Plains High School, White Plains, NY, and attended The Pratt Institute in New York City to study architecture. Robert honorably and faithfully served his country in The United States Navy. He was employed as an electronics technician by Leeds-Northrup, Lansdale, PA, for 25 years. He also was a bus driver for Carl R. Bieber Tourways, Kutztown, PA, for 15 years.

Robert was an amateur Ham Radio operator and was a former member of the Tamaqua Radio Club. He enjoyed hunting and camping and was a member of the Topton Fish and Game Association. He also was a talented woodworker, creating wooden toys for family members and local craft fairs.

Along with his wife of nearly 63 years, Catherine, Robert is survived by his three children, Michele C. (DeVall) Ferrante, wife of Michael J. Ferrante, Douglassville, PA, Robert F. DeVall, Jr., husband of Louise A. (Dietrich) DeVall, Kutztown, PA, and Timothy J. DeVall, husband of Melissa G. (Houle) DeVall, Hooksett, NH; and 11 grandchildren, Joseph Ferrante, Kaitlyn (DeVall) Goven, wife of Alex Goven, Ryan Ferrante, Evan DeVall, Jennifer Ferrante, Hannah DeVall, Reiley DeVall, Kendall DeVall, Will DeVall, Mason DeVall and Brooke DeVall.

Services for Robert will be held privately by his family at Riverside Cemetery, Norristown.
