Mr. Robert C. "Bobby" Bower

Robert C. "Bobby" Bower, 80, of Mertztown, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 in his residence. He was the widower of Karon L. (Faust) Bower, who died on February 21, 2023 and whom he married on April 18, 1964.

Born in Shamrock Station, Longswamp Township, PA, Bobby was a son of the late Charles H. and Lillian E. (Reppert) Bower and was a 1962 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton. Bobby was employed as a molder by the former Caloric Corporation, Topton, and then as a welder for Klein Foundries, now Victaulic in Alburtis for many years, retiring in 2010 from the maintenance department.

Bobby was a talented welder who could fix just about anything. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and around his home. He also enjoyed motorcycles, old cars, classic country music and drinking a cold beer!

Bobby is survived by his three children, Tracey B. (Bower), wife of Keith A. DeLong, Fleetwood, Trudy L. (Bower), wife of Christopher E. Johnson, Exeter Township, and Toby C., husband of Luci R. (Brensinger) Bower, Topton; sister, Shirley A. (Bower), wife of Donald R. Reinert, Mertztown; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents, Bobby was predeceased by his two brothers, Kenneth L. Bower in 2003 and Donald C. Bower in 2023.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, followed by a graveside service to celebrate and honor Bobby’s life at 11:00 a.m. in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown.
