Robert A Schiffert

Robert A. Schiffert, 81, of Allentown , died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where he was a patient since December 22nd. He was the husband of Maureen L. (Winter) Schiffert. They were married October 2, 1961 .

Born in Allentown , he was a son of the late Wilber and Lizzy (Beers) Schiffert. Mr. Schiffert was employed 42 years as a roll-mill operator for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Bethlehem, until his retirement in 1994. Robert was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing on the many local public courses. He was also a member of the Cetronia Fire Company .

He is survived by Sons, Robert T. Schiffert and Brett D. Schiffert, both of Allentown; Daugther, Desaree W. (Schiffert) wife of John Carley, Myerstown, Lebanon County; Step Son, Troy Adam and his wife Eileen, Kutztown; and a Step Daughter, Monica (Adam) wife of Dennis Follweiler, Kutztown. Other survivors include Grandchildren, Julie, Bill, Kyle, Brad, Angel, Coleen and Ashley; and numerous Great Grandchildren .

Memorial Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Private inurnment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. There is no public viewing .
