Richard W. Schlott, 59, of Richmond Township died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where he had been a patient since October 20 th . He was the husband of Sandra A. (Barlet) Schlott. They were married on April 24, 1971.
Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late William Dreas and the late Ethel M. (Yeager) Schlott. He was a 1966 graduate of Reading High School. He served in the US Army during Viet Nam. He was a heating and air conditioning technician for Santilli Oil Company, Inc., Shoemakersville, for the past three years; prior to that he worked in the same capacity at Russell Conrad, Inc. and the former George Y. Brubaker, both of Kutztown, and the Reading Merchant’s Oil Company, Reading. He was a member of the American Legion; he was a girls softball coach for the Kutztown Junior High School from 1994 to 1995; and, he was a girls softball coach for the Kutztown Youth Athletic Association for over 10 years during the 1990’s.
He is survived by Wife, Son, William R. Schlott and Daughter, Christina M. Schlott both at home.
Funeral Services are Monday, November 10, 2008 at 10:30 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment with Military Honors provided by the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion Honor Guard, Topton, in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
