Mr. Richard U. Groff

Richard U. Groff, 94, formerly of Landis Store, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of the late Marjorie Pierson Groff.

Born in Orvilla, Montgomery County, PA, Richard was a son of the late Harvey A. and Lizzie (Underkoffler) Groff. Richard was a graduate of Souderton High School, University of Miami and Harvard University.

He was a talented and accomplished woodworker. He crafted custom furniture as a profession for many years. He was also a published writer.

Richard is survived by a step-daughter, Lisa Cannon; step-son, Dexter Cannon; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his wife, Richard was predeceased by three brothers and one sister.

Richard's body was donated to Drexel University College of Medicine, West Reading, PA for medical research.
