Richard L Schittler

Richard L. Schittler, 78, formerly of Longswamp Township and State College, died Sunday, December 7, 2014, in Hearthside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, State College, Centre County, where he was a patient since May. He was the widower of Mae E. (Druckenmiller) Schittler, who died June 16, 1997 .

Born in Maxatawny Township, he was a son of the late Richard A. and Pearl M. (Moyer) Schittler. Mr. Schittler was employed as a custodian at East Penn Manufacturing Company, Kutztown, from 1970 until his retirement in 1998 .

He is survived by Daughter, Linda M. (Schittler), wife of Robert S. Kelly, State College. Other survivors include a Sister, Barbara A. (Schittler), wife of Richard Reis, New Ringgold, Schuylkill County. There is also a Grandson, Sean P. Kelly. Mr. Schittler was predeceased by a Brother, Ronald L. Schittler .

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, with Reverend Dr. Katherine E. Brearley officiating. Interment will follow in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Relatives and friends may call Thursday morning 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home .
