Richard L Borst

Richard L. Borst, 86, of Macungie, formerly of Coopersburg, died Thursday, September 2, 2010, in Lehigh Commons Assisted Living, Lower Macungie Township. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Hadding) Borst, who died August 21, 1996.

Born in Columbus, OH, he was a son of the late Harold L. and Susan (Beecher) Borst. He graduated with honors in 1948 with a B. S. in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. He was an electrical engineer at Buckeye Pipeline for 26 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and a life member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.

He is survived by Daughters, Margaret A. (Borst) wife of Steven W. Bruch, Orefield, PA, Mary J. Borst, Blandon, PA; Son, Arthur L. , husband of Elizabeth (Hagan) Borst, Havertown, PA and Sister, Margaret (Borst) wife of H. Lou Kuntz, Akron, OH. He is also survived by Grandchildren, Matthew L. Pongracz and Jennifer Rose-Anne Bruch.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Wednesday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
