Richard G. Ciuccio

November 29, 1949 — January 11, 2024

Richard "Rick" G. Ciuccio, 74, of Kutztown, entered into eternal rest peacefully at Lehigh Valley Hospital on January 11, 2024, surrounded by those who loved him.  He was the loving husband of Sharon S. (Krut) Ciuccio.  He was of the Catholic Faith.  Born in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Rick was a son of the late Basil A. and Jennie (Caringi) Ciuccio.

Rick was a 1966 graduate of Williamsport High School.  After graduation, he attended the University of  Southern Louisiana, at Baton Rouge, graduating in 1972. He worked as an independent sales representative for 40 years in the horticulture industry.  During that time, while calling on a company where Sharon worked, Rick fell in love with her at first sight and told her promptly that he intended to marry her; And he did !  Rick and Sharon were devoted to each other for over 30 years.

In his younger years Rick was an avid cross country skier and backpacker who loved being in the woods.  He loved sports, especially basketball, always available for a pick-up game with anyone who would ask.  Football was his second sports love, and he was a longtime fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State.  Most important to Rick was spending time with his beloved wife and family. He especially enjoyed bowling and swimming with his grandchildren, participating in the family fantasy football league, and weekly coffee shop dates with his wife, Sharon.

In addition to his wife Sharon, Rick is survived by his children: Nasstassja M. (Clattenburg) Frey, companion of Richard L. Wadsworth, Jr., Kutztown; Thomas S., husband of Lynda S. (Weed) Clattenburg, Reading; Michelle F. (Brown), wife of Scott Huber, Shillington; and Tina Miranda, Reading.  Other survivors include 13 grandchildren: Alanna L. Stamm, Brady M. Clattenburg, Aeva N. Stamm, Logan M. Clattenburg, Gunner H. Weed, Sophia J. Weed, Maddox A. Wadsworth, Carmen Maldonado, Braelyn Reis, Brayden Reis, Bryna Reis, Cameryn Huber, and Decklen Kelly.  There is also a brother, Victor Ciuccio and his wife Janet, Bethesda, MD, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
