Richard E Latch

Richard E. Latch, 84, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 in the Lutheran Home at Topton, Topton. He was the husband of the late Ruth N. (Taroney) Latch who died on February 28, 2002.

Born in Media, PA he was the son of the late Winfield and Penelope (McDermon) Latch. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was a drafting supervisor at the former Gilbert Associates, Reading, for 38 years retiring in 1985. He was a former councilman for the borough of Kenhorst and a Berks County Republican committee member from the 1950’s to the 1970’s. He was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading.

He is survived by Daughters, Robin N. (Latch) Blum, Sinking Spring, R. Elizabeth (Latch) Spatz, Reading; 5 Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Monday, October 29, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Auditorium of The Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton. Interment with Military Honors in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Friends may call Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
