Raymond Y Sheetz

Raymond Y. Sheetz, 82, of Beaver Creek Road, Fleetwood, died Monday, March 30, 2009 in the Lutheran Home at Topton, Topton. He was the husband of the late Anna M. (Rohrbach) Sheetz.

Born in Rockland Township he was a son of the late Robert A. and Beulah (Youse) Sheetz. He was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Fleetwood, where he served on the church council for several terms. He was an assembler for over 30 years at the former Boyertown Auto Body Works, Boyertown; and, he worked in maintenance at Kutztown University, Kutztown, retiring in 2006. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII.

He is survived by Son, Richard D. Sheetz companion of Pamela J. Kipp, Sayre, PA; Sister-in-law, Helen Rohrbach; Grandchildren, Warren R. Sheetz and Brianne P. Sheetz; Nieces, Lisa Landis and Donna Corll. He was predeceased by a Daughter, Susan Diane Sheetz, on April 26, 2007.

Funeral Services are Friday, April 3, 2009 at 10:30 AM in New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood. Interment in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Fleetwood. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
