Raymond H. Reinert, 80, of Macungie passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township surrounded by his family. Married on August 8, 1953, he was the husband of Irene G. (Hines) Reinert.
Born in District Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late William and Annie (Steele) Reinert. He was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Ray was a tool and die maker at Spirax/Sarco Company Inc., formerly of Allentown, for 30 years. Furthermore, Ray was an active member of the Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church of Alburtis, the Huguenot Lodge #377, F&A.M., Kutztown, the Scottish Rite, Reading, and the Rajah Shrine, Reading.
He is survived by Wife, Sons, Kevin H. Reinert, husband of Kathleen S. (McGinley), Summerfield, NC, Eric R. Reinert, husband of Brenda E. (Berger), Breinigsville, and David G. Reinert, Macungie, and Daughter, Anna Marie (Reinert) Murphy, wife of W. Peter Murphy, Avalon, NJ. He is also survived by Brothers, David and William Reinert and Sisters, Ruth Acker and Katie Danner. Additionally he is survived by Grandchildren, Aaron, Joshua, Jared, Allison, Kaitlin and Abigail Reinert, and Alaine and Carolyn Murphy.
Funeral Services are Monday, December 28, 2009 at 10:30 AM in the Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church, 8269 Spring Creek Road, Alburtis, PA 18011. Interment with military honors by the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton, will be in Huff’s Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 until 10:30 AM in the church. Masonic Services will be Monday at 10:15 AM.
