Raymond F Schlenker

Raymond F. Schlenker, 82, of Kutztown, died Monday, February 5, 2007, in Kutztown Manor, where he was a patient since January 19, 2007. He was the husband of Ruth A. (Fegely) Schlenker. They were married June 7, 1947.

Born in Greenwich Twp., Berks County, he was a son of the late Charles A. and the late Emma K. (Snyder) Schlenker. He was the owner / operator of Ray’s Sunoco, Kutztown from 1966 to 1980. He then operated Schlenker’s Garage, Kutztown from 1980 until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of Kutztown and Lyons Fire Companies and Pikeville Sportsman’s Association.

He is survived by Daughter, Brenda L. (Schlenker) wife of Lloyd Feiring, Kutztown; Son, Clifford R. “Bup” husband of Susan D. (Breiner) Schlenker, Kutztown; Sister, Elsie M. (Schlenker) widow of James R. Leibelsperger, Hyde Park; 2 Granddaughters, Mandy S. (Schlenker) wife of Greg W. Garrison and Bethany L. Schlenker; 4 Step Grandchildren, Rebecca J. (Kocher) wife of John J. Graeff, Richard R. Kocher, III, Catherine S. (Kocher) wife of Joseph Kriebel, Tracy A. (Fiering) wife of Eric Zerbert; 3 Step Great Grandchildren, Matthew J. Graeff, Amber M. Zebert and Samantha M. Zebert.

Funeral Services are Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 1:30 PM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Friends may call Thursday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM in the funeral home.
