Ralph H Berger

Ralph H. Berger, 89, of Richmond Township, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where he had been a resident since 2011. He was the husband of Lillian R. (Stauffer) Berger, whom he married January 14, 1950.

Born in Richmond Township, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Ellen A. (Wanner) Berger. Mr. Berger was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Kutztown. He was employed as a machinist by Molly Fasteners, Temple, for 21 years, retiring in 1989. He was also a self-employed farmer in Richmond Township for 17 years. Mr. Berger was a member of the Kutztown Fire Company, and enjoyed bowling and golf.

He is survived by Wife; Daughter, Gloria A. (Berger), wife of James D. Howe, Oley; Sons, Michael L., husband of Diane M. (Hauck) Berger, Fleetwood, and Patrick M., husband of Cara (Broughton) Berger, Manassas, VA; Grandchildren, James J. Howe, Amelia A. Howe, Annie F. Berger, and Charlie V. Berger. He was predeceased by 9 siblings.

Funeral Services are Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10:30 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Friday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
