Phyllis A Moyer

Phyllis A. (Kutz) Moyer, 76, of Topton, died Saturday, July 5, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Leon W. Moyer. They were married September 10, 1966.

Born in Lyon Station, she was a daughter of the late George A. and Mabel A. (Fenstermacher) Kutz. Mrs. Moyer was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rockland Township. She was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School. Mrs. Moyer was employed as a packer by Stauffer Biscuit Company, York, working in their Blandon plant from 1999 until her retirement in 2003. She had previously worked in the same capacity for the former Fleetwood Snack Company, Fleetwood, from 1990 until it's closing in 1998. Prior to that, she was employed as a machine operator and floor lady by the former Marcus Manufacturing Company, Topton, from 1961 until 1989.

Mrs. Moyer was a member of the Kutztown and Lyons Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary and the Pikeville Sportsmen's Association. She enjoyed jig-saw puzzles, completing puzzle books, being a member of a local card club, and traveling to see Elvis impersonators. She was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, enjoyed watching professional tennis and professional golf, and the #1 supporter and fan of her grandson's various sporting events.

She is survived by Husband; Daughter, Leann M. (Moyer), wife of Robert L. "Bobby" Hauck, Kutztown; Grandson, Taylor R. Hauck, Kutztown, and his companion, Megan L. Kolis, Adams, Mass.; Brothers, John, widower of Evelyn Kutz, Kutztown, and Roger, husband of Lucille Kutz, Macungie. She was predeceased by a Sister, Erma (Kutz) Rhode, and a Brother, Ray M. Kutz, Sr.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 4:00 PM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call Thursday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, PA  19522. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
