Peter Esherick, 87, of Topton, formerly of Orefield, died Sunday, June 2, 2013 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of Helen K. (Kohler) Esherick, a resident at the Lutheran Home at Topton.

Born in Paoli, Chester County, he was a son of the late Wharton H. and Letty N. (Nofer) Esherick. Mr. Esherick was a graduate of Tredyffrin High School, Paoli, and a 1953 graduate of Lafayette College, Easton, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a United States Army Air Corps. veteran. Mr. Esherick was the owner and president of Patient Instrumentation Corporation, Schnecksville, for over 20 years. He was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Sons of the American Revolution, and a student recruiter for Lafayette College. Mr. Esherick was an avid promoter of the Wharton Esherick Museum, Paoli, where the artwork and craftsmanship of his late father, and renowned artist, Wharton Esherick, is on display.

He is survived by Wife; Son, David, husband of Megan K. (McCullion) Esherick, Leesport; Sister, Ruth (Esherick), wife of Mansfield Bascom, Paoli; Granddaughters, Rebecca S. (Esherick) Alexander and Melissa Esherick; and Great Granddaughter, Addison Alexander. He was predeceased by a Sister, Mary (Esherick) White.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
