Perma B. (Dietrich) Dreibelbis, 94, a resident of The Buehrle Center, on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton, and formerly of Kutztown, died Friday, March 27, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of John Franklin Dreibelbis. They were married October 23, 1943, having celebrated their 71st anniversary last year.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Edgar S., Sr., and Agnes V. (Spohn) Dietrich. Mrs. Dreibelbis was a devoted member of Saint John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown, where she served on many committees as well as served on the church choir since 1936 and was a Sunday School teacher for 50 years. She was a 1938 graduate of the former Helen Moore Hoffman Secretarial School for Girls, Reading. She was employed as a secretary by Mack Trucks, Inc., Allentown, in the 1940’s; and was a clerk at the former Earned Income Tax Office, Kutztown for five years. Mrs. Dreibelbis was also employed as a bank teller at the former Kutztown National Bank from 1952 to 1963; and as a secretary for the United States Air Force in Madison, Wisconsin from 1943 to 1945. She served as treasurer of the Kutztown Woman's Club; served on the board of directors of the Kutztown Historical Society; and served at Maxatawny Township election polls for many years. Perma studied various crafts at Penland N.C., Arrowmont School, Gatlinburg, TN. and is a spinner of various yarns. She demonstrated spinning at the Kutztown Folk Festival for 40 years and more recently at the Kutztown University Haemet Fescht.  "Loving Wife, Devoted and True, an Immeasurable Blessing." She is survived by Husband, John; Nephews and Nieces, Dr. Malcolm H., husband of Phyllis G. Dietrich, York, Dr. Leonard M., husband of Linda W. Dietrich, Kutztown, Dr. Marcia Dietrich, Douglassville, Lucy J., widow of J. Ernest Miller, Kutztown, Douglas, husband of Christine Dietrich, Wernersville, and Susan (Dietrich), wife of Russell Teti, Allentown; and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 Brothers, Howard J. Dietrich and Wayne Dietrich; and 2 nieces.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Saint John's Lutheran Church, 201 East Main Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Mary Ann Hamm officiating. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends may call Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the church.
