Mr. Paul R. Yergey

Paul Raymond Yergey, Sr., 70, of Mertztown, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 in his residence surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Jean M. (Rippel) Yergey, who died on February 20, 2012, and whom he married on September 30, 1978.

Born in Allentown, Paul was a son of the late Raymond and Louisa (Helbert) Yergey and attended Brandywine Heights Area School District. Paul was employed by ARA in Allentown and Aramark in Norristown. He was a member of the Teamsters union. He was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, enjoyed spending time with his dog Molly, and dirt racing. In prior years, Paul enjoyed his motorcycle and various cars and car events including the Macungie Cruises and yearly visits to the Wheels of Time and LCBC car shows.

Paul is survived by his two sons, Paul R. Yergey, Jr., and wife Nicole (Wetzel), of Fleetwood, PA, and Christopher E. Yergey of Berwick, PA; two grandchildren, Kyra A. Yergey and Hunter G. Yergey. He is also survived by his two sisters, Eileen (Yergey) and Evelyn (Yergey) Wanamaker, and was predeceased by his brother, Larry Yergey in 2020; and his beloved dog, Molly

Services for Paul will be held privately by his family.
