Paul R Weigle

Paul R. Weigle, 90, of Topton, died Friday, August 10, 2012 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the widower of Mabel A. (Reinert) Weigle, who died September 8, 2003.

Born in Richmond Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late Richard R. and Estella (Adam) Weigle. Paul was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Zions Union Church, Maxatawny, where he served eight years on the church council from 1962 to 1970. Mr. Weigle worked as a picker in the parts department at Caloric Corp., at its former Topton Plant. He worked over 39 years until his retirement in 1984. Paul was a member of Pike Township Sportsmens Association.

He is survived by Daughter, Nancy M. (Weigle) wife of Richard R. Geist, Topton. Other survivors include a Sister, Catherine (Weigle) widow of Nathan Freeby, Kutztown; Brother, Lee husband of Elizabeth (Angstadt) Weigle, Lenhartsville. There are 2 Grandchildren, Kristin L. (Geist) wife of Lucas J. Apgar and Scott R. Geist companion of Laurie E. Walker; and 3 Great Grandchildren, Emersen N. Apgar, Connor J. R. Geist and James R. Apgar. He was predeceased by Sisters, Margaret (Weigle) Carl and Laila (Weigle) Keller; Step Sister, Evelyn Christman, and a Brother, Willard Weigle.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, August 15, 2012, 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Wednesday, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
