Paul H. F. Getz, 80, of Maxatawny Township, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of Bobbie Lee (Houx) Getz. They were married June 10, 2000. He was predeceased by his first wife, Eleanor D. (Brokenshire) Getz in 1997.
Born in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh Co., he was a son of the late Harry and Irene (Newhard) Getz. Paul was the owner and operator of Paul Getz Starter, Generator, and Alternator Service, Kutztown since 1960. Prior to that, he was employed as a centerless grinder at Carpenter Technology, Reading for 24 years, retiring in 1986. He was the founder of the Concerned Citizens of Maxatawny Township in 2000.
He is survived by Wife, Sons, Marvin A. Getz and Richard K. Getz, both of Texas, Step-son, David J., Jr., husband of Jan (Conrad) Simitz, Fleetwood. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the funeral home.
