Paul G. Masters, 92, formerly of Long Lane Road, Kutztown, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 in Jenny’s Country Manor, New Tripoli. He was the husband of the late Dorothy A. (Seidel) Masters who died on February 15, 1978.

Born in Weisenberg Township, he was a son of the late George H. and Athena M. (Rupp) Masters. He was a quality control inspector at the former Caloric Corporation, Topton, from 1973 until retiring in 1979. Prior to that he was a agricultural and dairy farmer from 1945 to 1972 in Maxatawny Township. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with Bronze Star and the WWII Victory Medal. He was a member of the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton. He was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Zion Union Church, Maxatawny.

He is survived by Daughters, Fay S. wife of David C. Kamp, Kay S. wife of Donald G. Mertz, Gay S. wife of Joseph L. Luckenbill all of Kutztown; Sister, Luella M. Kocher, Kutztown; Brothers, Arthur J. Masters, Breinigsville, Roland H. Masters, Fogelsville; Grandchildren, Melissa K. wife of Trevor L. DeLong, Elizabeth F. Deemer, William P. husband of Kimberly A. (Blank) Kamp, Jenna M. Luckenbill, Amy L. Kamp; Great Granddaughters Lauren A. and Katelyn E. DeLong. He was predeceased by Sister, Elsie V. Smith.

Funeral Services are Friday, October 6, 2006 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis Street, Topton. Interment with Military Honors in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Maxatawny. Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
