Paul G. DeLong, 86, of Kutztown, died Monday, November 17, 2014, in Lehigh Commons, Lower Macungie Township, where he was a resident for over two years. He was the husband of Ethel E. (Kehs) DeLong. They were married July 2, 1949 .
Born in Topton, he was a son of the late Daniel G. and Dorothy E. (Walbert) DeLong. Mr. DeLong was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Kutztown. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Paul was a 1946 graduate of Kutztown Area High School; and also attended Penn State University. He was employed as a manufacturing supervisor by the former Caloric Corporation, Topton, for 40 years retiring in 1988. Paul enjoyed playing the accordion in several local bands including Dream Valley Caravan and The Leadmen. He was also featured on local AM radio stations WSAN, WKAP, WHOL, and WAEB .
He is survived by Wife; Daughters, JoAnn F. (DeLong) Zuber, Oley and Bonnie J. DeLong, Kutztown; Son, Anthony P., husband of Pamela (Steely) DeLong, Mertztown . Other survivors include a Brother, Gene R. DeLong, Potter County, PA; 4 Grandchildren, Kyle Zuber, Kishan Zuber, Christopher DeLong and Travis DeLong; and 4 Great Grandchildren, Sarah Zuber, Jessica Zuber, Ryan DeLong, and Elizabeth DeLong. Paul was predeceased by a Brother, Earl L. DeLong.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM in The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 671 Noble Street, Kutztown, with Brother Marvin Mickley officiating. Relatives and friends may call Saturday from 1:30 to 2:00 PM in the Kingdom Hall. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family .
