Paul F Schleicher

Paul F. “Dutch” Schleicher, 87, formerly of Topton, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Arden Court Assisted Living, Upper Macungie Township.

Born in Topton, he was a son of the late Paul R. and Myrtle M. (Dierolf) Schleicher. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II. Paul was employed as an operator and mechanic of heavy equipment for International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 542, Trexlertown for 50 years, retiring in 1991.

He is survived by Sister, Ellen E. (Schleicher) widow of Brooke E. Gernert, Topton; Brothers, Leonard C husband of Sandra B. (Seidel) Schleicher, Topton and Dallas D. husband of Barbara Schleicher, Fleetwood. He was predeceased by Sisters, Althea “Betty” Phillips and Jeanette S. Pape, and Brothers, Robert W. and Richard O. Schleicher.

Funeral Services are Monday, July 25, 2011 at 1:30 PM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment with military honors provided by Ray A. Master Post #217, American Legion, Topton, will be in Topton Union Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 1:00 to 1:30 PM in the funeral home.
