Paul E Howerter

Paul E. Howerter, age 71, of 224 Walker Road, Macungie, died Friday, September 12, 2003, in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus. He was married to Grace J. (Schlosser) Howerter for 40 years in August.

Born in New Tripoli, he was a son of the late Alfred S. and Ella M. (Smith) Howerter. He was the self-employed owner and operator of Paul's Garage, Mertztown, from 1970 until retiring in 1997. Previously, he was a mechanic for Molls Garage, Seisholtzville. He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Huffs Union Church, Alburtis. He was an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by Wife; Sons, Rev. Bruce R. of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Keith S. of Mertztown; Sister, Floren Gruber of Emmaus; Brother, Robert A. of Mertztown; 2 Grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 17, 2003, Huffs Lutheran Church, Alburtis. Friends and family may call 9:00 -10:30 AM Wednesday in the church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
