Paul C. Flicker, 90, of Old Topton Road, (Longswamp Twp.), died Sunday, October 17, 2004, in the Henry Healthcare Center of The Lutheran Home at Topton, Longswamp Twp., where he was a patient since September 15, 2004. He was married to the late Goldie K. (Dietrich) Flicker who died June 18, 1992.
Born in the Village of Breinigsville, Upper Macungie Twp., Lehigh County, he was a son of the late Calvin L. and the late Amanda A. (Oldt) Flicker. He was an Inspector at the former Topton plant of Caloric Corporation. He worked in the custodial and maintenance department of Brandywine Heights Area School District, Topton. He then owed and operated Paul C. Flicker Excavating, Mertztown (Longswamp Twp.) for over 20 years, retiring in the late 1970’s. He was a lifetime member of the Antique Engine, Tractor, & Toy Club, Inc., Bowers. He was a member of former church council member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Chruch, Mertztown (Longswamp Twp.).
He is survived by Son, Robert P. Flicker, Topton; Daughter, Irene A. (Flicker) Meck, Harrisburg; 5 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services are Wednesday, October 20, 2004, 10:30 AM from Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown (Longswamp Twp.). Interment in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown (Longswamp Twp.). Friends may call Tuesday, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, and Wednesday, 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the church.
The family requests contributions be made to the Memorial Fund of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, Post Office Box 117, Mertztown, 19539. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
