Mr. Patrick James Reid

Patrick James Reid, 30, of Blandon, PA, passed away suddenly on Friday evening, July 17, 2020 in Richmond Township. He was the loving husband of Lindsey B. (Borgman) Reid, whom he married on January 1, 2018.

Born in Easton, PA, Patrick was a son of Dr. James H. Reid and Anne M. (Myers) Reid of Phillipsburg, NJ. He was a 2009 graduate of Warren County Technical School, Washington, NJ, and Pennsylvania College of Technology, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering.

Pat was employed as an Electronic Engineer by The Titus Company, Morgantown, since March. He previously worked as a Controls Technician at East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyon Station, and as a Maintenance Technician at Ashley Furniture, Leesport.

Patrick had an incredible sense of humor, a love for adventure and intense desire to see those around him happy. Pat was one of the sweetest and most accepting people you could meet. There was no judgement in him.

He loved travel and nature and everything that it entails, even planning. He would get lost in planning trips for the future and couldn’t wait to show his children the world outside their hometown. He was fascinated by birds and had an extensive knowledge of the birds in this area. He once spent an hour chasing some beautiful black and blue birds all over the side of a peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. He also loved Puffins and even traveled by ferry, to a puffin colony off the shore of Iceland, to sit in an observation deck and watch them. Pat enjoyed visiting good restaurants and trying all kinds of food, the spicier, the better. He was also a talented piano player.

In addition to his wife Lindsey, and parents, James and Anne, Patrick is survived by his two beautiful children and his pride and joy, Liam M. Reid, 21 months, and Emma H. Reid, three months; and sister, Leslie R. Reid, Philadelphia. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, William J. and Jamie (Soukup) Reid, who both tragically died August 11, 2013.

A memorial service to honor and remember Patrick’s life will be held privately by his family.
