Patrick M. Driscoll, 46, passed away unexpectedly after a long and courageous battle with mental health challenges on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
Born in Danville, PA, and raised in Hamburg, PA, Patrick was a 1998 graduate of Hamburg Area High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh-perhaps its proudest alum. Patrick's love for Pitt ran deep. He was a devoted fan of the Panthers, especially college basketball and football, following his teams with unwavering enthusiasm.
Patrick found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved movies, mountain biking, and time spent at the beach. Underneath it all, he had the biggest heart, and those who knew him will always remember his loud, infectious laugh and the warmth he brought into a room.
His friends and family will remember Patrick as a bright light with tons of energy. He had a unique sense of humor that could bring a smile to people's faces in even the most difficult situations. His knack for quoting the perfect line from a movie or SNL sketch at just the right moment was unmatched.
"There is a place where the sidewalk ends." - Where the Sidewalk Ends
No parent should have to bury a child. Patrick is survived by his loving parents, John Driscoll, Hamburg, PA, and Judith Driscoll, North Charleston, SC, and his three siblings: Kevin (Rose) of Tampa, FL; Erin (Max) of Charleston, SC; and Tim (Cait) of Matawan, NJ. He is also survived by his eight nieces and two nephews, along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Patrick will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, PA, with The Reverend David Loeper as Celebrant.
