Mrs. Patricia L. Delong

Patricia L. (Broscius) DeLong, 79, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021, in the residence of her niece in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where she was receiving medical treatment.  She was the widow of Kerry C. DeLong, who died June 25, 2020.  Born in Shamokin, Northumberland County, Patricia was a daughter of the late Walter F. and Jean C. (Kiefski) Broscius.  Pat was a member of Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Hamburg, and a former member of Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown.

Patricia was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School, Shamokin; and Saint Joseph University, Philadelphia, where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Administrative Management.

Patricia worked in the accounting field, retiring as an Accounting Supervisor, after many years with Amtrak.  She also worked for Xerox and General Electric in the Missile and Space Division.

Pat was a member of Schuylkill River Power Squadron, enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake (Kent Island, MD) for many years with her husband, Kerry; and taking art classes.

Patricia is survived by a brother, Al Broscius, Shiremanstown, Cumberland County; and a sister, Rita L. (Broscius) Schaffer, Bradenton, FL.  There are also 34 nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, Kerry, and parents, Patricia was predeceased by siblings: Marie, Francis, Jean and Dorothy.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, by The Reverend David J. Loeper, as celebrant. Inurnment at 2:45 PM in Berks County Memorial Gardens, with Deacon Tom Dragolis, officiating.  There is no public viewing or calling hours.
