Mrs. Patricia E. Rothermel

Patricia E. "Pat"(Obyle) Rothermel, 82, of Weisenberg Township, formerly of Greenwich Township, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 in her residence. She was the widow of Herbert F. Rothermel, whom she married on September 9, 1961 and who died on June 16, 2016.

Born in Greenwich Township, Patricia was a daughter of Ralph J. and Sarah C. (Dietrich) Obyle, and was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School. Pat was employed as a Housekeeper at Luther Crest, Allentown, for 12 years, but for most of her life, was a Homemaker. Pat enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, canning and taking care of her flower beds and yard.

Patricia is survived by her children, Michael D., husband of Sandra A. (Gustaff) Obyle, Lenhartsville, David T., husband of Kim A. (Leslie) Rothermel, Lenhartsville, Kathleen D. (Rothermel), wife of David T. Laudenslager, Fogelsville, Charles N. Rothermel, Fogelsville and Debra A. (Rothermel), wife of Carl Z. Redcay, Fleetwood; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters, Elaine A. (Obyle), wife of Theodore Silliman, Kutztown and Sarah A. (Obyle) Heck, Hamburg. Along with her husband and parents, Patricia was predeceased by a sister, Ardella A. (Obyle) DeLong.

A funeral service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Anne Huey, St. Luke’s Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
