Olie H Adam

Olie H. (Hirst) Adam, 79, of Denver, formerly of Kutztown, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. She was the widow of Walter C. L. Adam, who died April 29, 1997.

Born in Sackets Harbor, NY, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel M. (Dyer) Hirst. Mrs. Adam was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown. She was employed as a packer by Bachman Pretzel Co., Muhlenberg Twp., for over 30 years retiring in 2001. Olie enjoyed casinos, baking, quilting, sewing, and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by Daughters, Karen M. (Yohn) Fox companion of James B. Shivers, Shillington, Sharon L. Yohn, Reading; Son, Robert A. Yohn, Reinholds, West Cocalico Twp.; Brothers, Cody N. Hirst and Edwin R. Hirst, both of Watertown, NY, Andrew F. Hirst, Exeter, NH, Harry S. Hirst, Clayton, NY. She is also survived by one Grandson and a Great Granddaughter. She was predeceased by a Sister, Marianne J. (Hirst) Clarke, and Brothers, Robert E. Hirst, William R. Hirst, Albert E. Hirst, and John D. Hirst.

Funeral Services are Monday, January 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
