Norman L. Scherff, age 87, of Ontario Street, Bethlehem, PA, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003 in Saint Lukes Hospital, Bethlehem, Pa., where he had been a patient one day. He was the husband of Iva M. (Wolf) Scherff, they were married December 10, 1981. His first wife Frances E. (Suelke) Scherff died December 26, 1978
Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, PA, he was the son of the late Harvey and the late Alma (Donwoody) Scherff. He had been employed as a millwright machinist for 21 years at US Gage Instrument Company, Sellersville, Bucks County, PA. He was a member of Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. He was a graduate of the Philadelphia Diesel Engineering College, Philadelphia and was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.
He is survived by his Wife; Son, Michael Scherff, Quakertown, PA, Step Daughters, Elaine G. (Wolfe) Werner, Bangor, PA, Linda (Wolfe) Klimek, Allentown, PA, Brothers, Robert D. Scherff, Morton (Delaware County), PA, George Scherff, Philadelphia, PA., 3 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Step Granddaughter. He was predeceased by Step Son, Carl Wolfe, who died in the early 1981.
Funeral Services will be held, 2:00 PM, Tuesday, Mary 27, 2003, from Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Friends may call Tuesday, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown PA.
