Norman B Holtzman

Norman B. Holtzman, 93, of Topton, formerly of Lansdale, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in his Tower Court residence on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the widower of Mary S. (Adam) Holtzman who died September 23, 2007.

Born in Windsor Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late James W. and Florence S. (Boyer) Holtzman. Mr. Holtzman attended First Baptist Church, Lansdale. Norman was a US Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Holtzman was an electrician by trade first working from 1946 to 1952 at the former Hamburg Electric Company, then from 1952 to 1975 at Lehigh Valley Dairy and from 1975 until his retirement in 1985 at Leeds & Northrup, North Wales, Montgomery County.

He is survived by Son, N. Bruce, husband of Elaine A. (Kleinschuster) Holtzman, Davidsonville, MD; Daughter, Mary Jane (Holtzman), wife of Robert A. Rutman, Orefield, Lehigh County. Other survivors include 4 Grandchildren, Christopher, husband of Amy Holtzman, Leesburg, VA, Elizabeth (Holtzman), wife of James Sisco, Fairfax, VA, Jennifer (Rutman), wife of Grant Slavin, Mill Valley, CA, and Jonathan, husband of Beth Rutman Catonsville, MD. There are also 7 Great Grandchildren. Mr. Holtzman was looking forward to the birth of his eighth great grandchild in April. He was predeceased by a Sister, Dorothy (Holtzman) Michael in 1950.

Funeral Services are Monday, March 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to "Save the Tower" Fund, Lutheran Home at Topton, One South Home Avenue, Topton, PA 19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
