Mr. Noel P. Hertzog

Noel P. Hertzog, 81, of Kutztown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2022 in his residence. He was the husband of Marie (Weber) Hertzog whom he married on April 14, 2018. His first wife, Patricia A. (Miller) Hertzog predeceased him on October 9, 2015.

Born in Lyon Station, PA, Noel was a son of Herbert and Elda (Guinther) Hertzog. Noel was an active member of The Church on the Hill, Kutztown, PA, and was a devoted Christian. Mr. Hertzog was the Owner/Operator of Amoco Service Station, New Smithville, and Texaco Service Station, Kutztown. Mr. Hertzog then worked for Nothstein Ford, Kutztown, as an automobile mechanic. Noel last worked on the assembly line at East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc., Lyon Station, until his retirement in 2002.

In addition to his wife Marie, Noel is survived by a daughter, Donna M. (Hertzog), wife of Arlan Bechtel, Fleetwood; three step-children, Barry L., husband of Barbara (Hoffman) Kline, Kutztown, Donald A., husband of Cheryl Kline, Mertztown, and Rodney P. Kline, Kutztown; daughter-in-laws, Anita L. Dries, Fleetwood, and Diane (Bryant) Hertzog, Fleetwood; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 14 step great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley (Hertzog), widow of George King, Hamburg.

In addition to his first wife and parents, Noel was predeceased by five sons, Dallas H. Hertzog, Kerry W. Hertzog, Craig A. Hertzog, Rickey Hertzog, and Kevin Hertzog; granddaughter, Amanda Hertzog; great-grandson, Christopher Hertzog; step grandson, David Kline; step great-granddaughter, Mia; and seven brothers, Wayne, Donald, Warren, Richard, Leon, Carl and Dennis Hertzog.

A memorial service to celebrate an honor Noel's life will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at The Church on the Hill, 217 Hottenstein Road, Kutztown, with Pastor Stephen Winters officiating. A celebration of life luncheon will follow the services from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Janelle Hall, 360 Fleetwood Road, Bowers. Burial will be held privately by his family in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown.
